Our current offerings include:
Kripalu (Krih-pah-loo) Yoga
A 75-minute class that includes centering & warm-ups, followed by a Kripalu-style yoga experience, weaving in a variety of modifications and poses, simple breathing techniques and a soft landing with savasana and guided relaxation at the end. This class is open to all levels. Suggestions for more challenging and more beginner-oriented choices will be offered throughout the class so that students can work at their own comfort level.
This 75-minute class will teach you the basic yoga poses in a healthy and safe manner. Embracing key elements of the Iyengar tradition, Hatha yoga will focus on a rotating sequence of postures (e.g., hip-openers, shoulders and arms, back-bends, etc.) from class to class. Through the use of props and a strong focus on alignment and body awareness, yogis of all levels will be able to gain a deeper understanding of the mind-body connection through extended focus on a given pose. If you are interested in improving your yoga technique or think that you have hit a plateau in your practice, this is a great class for you! Some props are provided, but feel free to bring your own. This class is open to all levels.
Yoga Basics (now combined into Kripalu and Hatha Yoga classes)
Both Kripalu and Hatha yoga are perfect for beginners. Our experienced instructors will teach you everything you need to know in order to feel confident and safe in any of the other classes. Along with a variety of poses, you will also learn basic body awareness, yoga safety, flexibility and the mind/body/breath connection. By the way, you will also have a lot of fun on the journey!
